Overview of the position:
The position is full-time. Working hours are between 8:00am -5:30 pm, Monday-Friday, rostered as 38 hours per week. You will be working very closely and independently with the team of specialists, psychologists, allied health professionals and a wonderful, friendly administrative team. You will be responsible for the medical administrative role, booking clinics, sorting referrals, communication, Medicare billing, phone calls, end of day account reconciliation etc.
Essential skills:

Candidates are expected be autonomous in their work and take initiative to complete outlined tasks without or with minimal supervision.
1. Candidates must have good computer and communication skills both personal and over the telephone
2. Be willing to work independently and work collaboratively in a small team.
3. Good organisational skills
4. Be willing to work flexible hours and work collaboratively in a team.
5. Ability to follow directions provided, prioritise and work in a fast paced, busy environment.
6. Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
7. Have a passion to work with children and provide a great service
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge and previous experience of medical reception work desirable but not essential
- Experience in using a medical software (Genie, Health track etc.) and Medicare billing
Your role will be to assist with administrative support to allow the executive assistant to focus on company growth and development.

Working environment:
Canberra Development Clinic is located in Deakin, Canberra. Our team comprises of 17 staff (Administration, Paediatricians, Physiatrists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Family Coaches). You will work with all staff closely on a daily basis to complete shared roles, ensure continuity of patient care, follow protocols and provide patients with an enjoyable and memorable experience. The team is supportive and will assist in guiding your education and training to a point where you are comfortable to work independently.
