Role:
- Specialist Medical Receptionist required for a busy obstetrics and gynecology practice
- Previous experience working in as a Medical Receptionista must
- Demonstrated experience using specialist genie software, cashiering, receipting, filing, typing ideal (but not mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Medical terminology favorable
- Face-paced and busy practice, needs to be able to work independently and be reliable and punctual
- Supportive practice manager who will help with training and development
Responsibilities:
- Front line customer service, meet and greet patients and clinicians
- Attending to telephone calls and email correspondence
- Coordinating patient care, including organising appointments, coordinating treatment and procedures, midwife consultations, theatre lists
- Administrative duties, filing, scanning, patient registration, forms, notes and other correspondence (referrals) as needed
- Diary management
- Patient invoicing, including managing payments and medicare claims
- Processing private insurance claims and billing
- Assistant billings on an as needed basis
