The Good Samaritan Medical Centre is a fully accredited general practice through RACGP and allied health clinic and has been caring for the local Chipping Norton community for over 10 years.
The Good Samaritan Medical Centre is a multi-disciplinary health clinic. We have a diverse team of male and female doctors and a wide range of services including Physiotherapy, podiatry, dietitian and counselling to provide a holistic approach to the patients.
Available position: Medical Receptionist
Part- time and Full-time position are available
Responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Managing day-to-day receptionist.
- Handle all face-to-face and over the phone patient registrations, bookings, triage and queries as the first point of contact within the clinic.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Maintaining patient records
- Manage and process billings
- Answering patient and doctors’ queries.
- Liaising with healthcare providers.
- Managing clinical documentation.
- Drafting emails; and scanning
- Receive payments, issue receipts, complete all billing and invoicing for patients.
- Chasing companies for outstanding invoices.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Previous experience with medical software is highly regarded
- Available to support the practice between 7.30am -4.00pm and 10am – 6pm.
- in addition to providing helpful customer service to our patients, our support team work closely with General Practitioners and Allied Health practitioners to provide comprehensive administrative support.
Essential and Desirable skills:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written English language skills
- Proven experience to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- An ability to carefully plan, organize and prioritize tasks.
- Flexible to change shift hours.
