Medical Receptionist

Job Description: We are seeking for a highly organized and personable Medical Receptionist who is looking for a career change to become the face of this private medical practice. As the first point of contact for patients you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff.Key Responsibilities:Greet patients, visitors, and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.Schedule and manage patient appointments, surgeries, and consultations efficiently.Register new patients, collect and verify insurance information, and update patient records as needed.Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information to callers in a helpful manner.Coordinate with their specialist to ensure a seamless patient experience and timely flow of appointments.Process billing information, collect payments, and issue receipts.Typing and Dictaphone skills essential for medical letters and documents.Manage patient accounts, invoicing, and payments with Medicare; knowledge of health fund billing essentialHandle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.Empathetic and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an advantage.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.On-site parking provided.
