Medical Receptionist - Permanent Part-time (3 - 4 days per week)

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and friendly receptionist to join our dynamic, highly regarded family Medical Practice, located in the heart of Cammeray. 

We are recruiting for a part-time position (3-4 days/week), including rotational Saturday morning cover, with the flexibility and availability to occasionally cover sick and annual leave.

You will be supported by a friendly, highly professional team and work alongside experienced and dedicated medical practitioners.

Previous medical reception experience is desirable, however we are willing to train the right applicant.

The successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail and effective time management.

About the role

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Meeting and greeting patients, booking appointments, answering a high volume of calls and emails
• Managing and updating the practice database confidentially, including billing and receipting
• Liaising with ancillary medical professionals and organisations
• Ensuring the upkeep and tidiness of the waiting room, reception area and common areas
• End-of-day reconciliations and banking, general administration

Essential skills and experience

The successful applicant for this position will have:

• Reception and administrative experience
• Outstanding customer service skills with a positive, friendly attitude
• The ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your time in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail
• Computer literacy and an aptitude for learning new software
• A highly professional work ethic with compassion and commitment to patient care
• An ability to work well within a diverse team
