Medical Receptionist | Specialist Practice

Oromax specialises in Oral Maxillofacial surgery and is located at Kent Town with onsite parking available. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our administration team in a full time position [8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday].

The successful candidate must have a friendly disposition and be experienced dealing with patients from all walks of life, with excellent customer service skills. 

You will liaise directly with our patients, referring Doctors, Anaesthetists and Private Hospitals coordinating every aspect of the patients’ surgical requirements. This highly regarded position will suit a professional who is proactive and outstanding in their field.   

We welcome applications from candidates who are looking for a permanent full time role working a 40 hour week Monday to Friday (no weekend work).   

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming referrals
• Answer telephone calls
• Coordinate patient appointments
• Triage emergency calls
• Prepare consult and theatre lists
• Medical billing
• Maintenance of Medical Records in accordance with our Policies and Procedures
• All other administrative responsibilities associated with patient care and customer service

The key skills required for this role include:

1. Dental experience advantageous
2. Excellent presentation
3. Excellent customer service, people skills and phone manner
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Above average computer skills
6. Self- motivated and willing to work as part of a team
7. Reception Experience
8. Demonstrated ability to multi-task within a fast paced working environment
9. Excellent written and verbal communication
