Northwest Neurosurgery is currently looking for a Medical Receptionist - Secretary to join the team. The successful applicant will be required to work on-site 5 days per week and occasionally travel to the rooms at the Sydney Adventist Hospital or Norwest Private hospital
Salary range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour plus superannuation.
What you’ll be doing
As a Medical Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients.
This role is specifically suited to a motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, responsible individual that is able to offer a positive experience for our patients and other team members.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients into the practice;
- Answering incoming calls and patient enquiries;
- Scheduling appointments:
- Ensuring that patients understand what they need to bring with them and arranging necessary investigations associated with the consultation
- Confirmation of all appointments with appropriate preparation of patients;
- Accurate data entry into BlueChip software and audit modules;
- Providing assistance to the Practice Manager as required;
- Maintaining a clean and organised office space.
The office environment is suited to an aware candidate with highly developed interpersonal skills and pleasant communication style.
About you : Skills and experience
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently;
- Display a high level of attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Demonstrate the prioritisation of multiple tasks;
- Be professional, courteous and compassionate;
- Previous experience as a medical secretary desirable but not essential.
