Form of workWe are a leading and busy private specialist practice based centrally in Broadmeadow, NSW. We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/administrator to join our growing team and assist with supporting five specialists and a range of clinics run by our practice.
This position is a busy and broad one but allows you to work alongside a professional team of doctors, allied health, nursing and medical administrators.
Ideally, you will have experience in a specialist or general medical practice and be organised, focussed and professional. Your effective above average interpersonal skills will allow you to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming phone calls;
- Greeting patients;
- Managing referrals;
- Coordinating patient appointments;
- Private health fund and Medicare knowledge preferred;
- Confidentially maintain medical files and office records;
- Data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Liaise with external suppliers such as pathology, radiology, GP’s, other specialist and health service providers as required;
- Work well as part of a professional team;
- Experience with Genie software is highly regarded.
