About the Position
Our Globe Medical Centre is looking for a Medical Receptionist and/or Enrolled Nurse to join a great and supportive team in a casual role, offering 3 - 5 days per week.
This role is perfect for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to multitask, and is comfortable working in a busy environment. Offering a unique role to provide exposure to the Receptionist and Nursing space.
Receptionist responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient service at all times
- Participate in practice meetings and contribute ideas for improvement
- Efficiently manage patient data, appointments and follow procedures
- Provide a seamless service to patients whilst ensuring clinic operations, and Doctor workload is effectively managed at all times
- Process patients billings/receipts
- Assist Doctors with day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks.
- Function in a highly organised and time-efficient manner at all times.
- Attend housekeeping in the Clinic and prepare morning/afternoon teas for our Doctors
Clinical responsibilities:
- ECG
- Audiograms
- Assisting with minor surgical procedures.
- Health Assessment
- CVC program and Chronic disease management
- Triage – over the phone and in-person
- Infection Control
- COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Treatment Room & Stock Management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner
- High work ethic and flexibility with work hours
- Current APHRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse is essential
- Demonstrated experience working in Primary Health care setting or within General Practice
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise
- Ability to work across multiple sites
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a diverse team and independently
- High-level attention to detail.
- Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage however not essential
- Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
