We are looking for an experienced professional, organised and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team. Reynella Medical Centre is a large fast paced clinic with 6 GPs and 4 Nurses along with onsite Allied Health Services. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.

We are offering a casual position, the suitable candidate will work an average of 20-25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- greeting patients, attending to busy phone lines, managing appointment books and overseeing the waiting room
- processing payments, invoicing and receipting
- update and maintain the system so it is up-to-date and accurate at all times (such as appointment changes and patient information);
- ensure all requests by patients and practitioners are followed up with due diligence;
- support clinical team and clerical staff in a range of administrative tasks such as emails, scanning of documents and fax;
- general housekeeping duties, ensuring patient waiting area is clean and tidy, consulting rooms are properly stocked, clean and ready for the day
Key Requirements:
- strong customer service skills, and effective communication
- the ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment
- the ability to multi-task, problem solve and work effectively
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- strong computer literacy skills are essential
- previous experience in the use of Best Practice software desired but not essential
- an understanding of the Medical Benefits Schedule item numbers and compliance
- the ability the maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentially
- punctual and reliable
- high standard of integrity and an excellent work ethic
- flexibility including ability to cover shifts when required
- willing to up skill where needed
