As aMedical Receptionist / Administrator with VEI you will be a first point of contact for arrivals to the specialist rooms or day hospital and as such, must have a genuine desire to provide high-quality service to our patients, practitioners and other stakeholders.

About you:
You bring with you great customer service, an excellent telephone manner and a high level of computer literacy including high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. You are a team player that can work collaboratively and independently as well as multitask and prioritise efficiently.
You'll have flexibility with your availability which includes being available for early starts and late finishes as required.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Interact with patients and visitors in a manner that ensures the highest level of hospitality
- Assist with general enquiries and answer telephone calls in a timely, pleasant and professional manner that ensures excellent customer service
- General administrative duties involving patient accounts, banking procedures, health fund checks, billing and payments
- Utilise the patient management system and other interfaces to capture all relevant patient details, make appointments and prepare and transmit paperwork and correspondence
- Follow protocols for administrative admission of surgical patients including surgical bookings
- Management of patient records including retrieval, filing and archiving
- Flexibility to assist in other administrative functions as required
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working in a specialist medical practice or day surgery environment highly desirable.
- Strong administrative background with superior attention to detail
- Excellent computer literacy with experience using Genie of (Medical Director) BlueChip software packages highly desirable
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to develop quick rapport with patients
- Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a dynamic environment
