Sage Women's Specialist is expanding!
We are an established friendly and busy all female women's health practice in the inner city suburb of Fitzroy (St Vincent's Hospital). We require the services of a Medical receptionist/secretary on a casual basis to begin with, with the view of a permanant part time position in the future.
The role is 3 days per week, with extra days covering staff during their leave.
We have 9 specialists, consisting of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a Urogynaecologist, Fertility specialists and physiotherapists.
You will be working with friendly long term staff members that can show you the ropes and support you!
Medical experience is preferred, but it is not essential that it is from specialist rooms. General practice staff are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & experience
- Past medical experience essential
- Genie experience preferred
Tasks & responsibilities
- Greeting patients
- Booking and confirming appointments
- Liaising with hospitals, GP's and other specialists
- Advising patients of billing policies
- Responding to emails
- Billing patients
- Answering all telephone calls
- Scanning
- Booking theatre time
- Sterilising instruments
- General everyday administration work
- Audiotyping preferred, but not essential
