Medical Secretary
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Secretary to join our Urology practice in Sunnybank. The current practice is a fun but busy place to work and this role will be for a new Doctor joining the practice. You will be in charge of setting up the practice, getting everything ready for him to hit the ground running. Your role will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments/theatre procedures, typing, billing - private, DVA, Eclipse, Health Funds etc – everything that is required within a surgical practice. Providing exceptional customer service to our patients, a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and empathy towards patients is a must. Previous medical experience preferred. To start with we would be looking at 3 days a week, Wed – Fri with the view to going fulltime as the practice grows.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist role, preferably in a specialty practice such as urology would be preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach towards patients
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Preferred knowledge of Totalcare practice management software, but training will be provided
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Typing
