The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.As a member of the multi-disciplinary Mental Health team you will be responsible for triage, assessment, treatment, ongoing case management and discharge planning services to individuals in Northern Sydney Local Health Districts.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRHA) registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or eligibility for membership to the AASW.
- Demonstrated, comprehensive Mental Health assessment and crisis intervention experience. Demonstrated experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
- Experience working in Community Mental Health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
- Extensive case management/care co-ordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
- Proficient in working with data systems and computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Office Word software.
- Current NSW Driver's licence.
