With a commitment to innovation and growth, we are seeking a talented individual to join the team as a Merchandise Planning Manager.
About the role:
As the Merchandise Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management and maximizing sales opportunities for our clients retail stores. You will lead a team of planners and analysts to develop strategic merchandise plans, ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive merchandise plans to achieve sales, margin, and inventory turnover targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, and operations to align merchandise strategies with overall business objectives
• Utilize data analysis and forecasting tools to monitor sales trends, inventory levels, and market dynamics, making data-driven decisions to drive business performance.
• Lead assortment planning processes, including product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
• Optimize inventory allocation and replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Identify opportunities for product assortment expansion or consolidation based on customer preferences and market trends.Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on merchandise performance and key metrics.
• Mentor and develop a team of planners and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need:

• Previous experience in Merchandise Planning, inventory management, or related roles within large format retail - preferably in a leadership capacity.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. Experience with Merchandise Planning software is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic merchandise plans that drive sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a team.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for retail and a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
