As a Place Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality place making activities that enhance the livability and economic vitality of the reigon. From leading project delivery to developing implementation strategies, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the scoping, programming, and delivery of projects, employing project management and urban design skills to ensure successful implementation of place-based programs. Actively pursue funding for high quality design outcomes.
- Coordinate the drafting and delivery of implementation strategies, identifying resources and project timelines.
- Coordinate activity center plans and Council business related to place making.
- Proactively engage property owners and businesses to attract investments. Foster relationships with government and private sector stakeholders to promote Economic Development.
- Lead the Development and delivery of high-quality urban design and strategic planning advice. Influence urban design outcomes and trends, and create illustrative plans to inform discussions.
- Actively seek professional development opportunities and contribute to the Economic Development of the activity center. Enhance team capacity through knowledge sharing and participation in professional networks.
- Tertiary design based qualifications in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture or Architecture or similar is required
- Demonstrated high level of discipline knowledge operating as a Place Manager under limited direction with a proven track record in leading and delivering place based initiatives including significant capital works or investment attraction projects
- Demonstrated ability provide specialist expertise, advice on urban design and place making for key activity centres and to lead, motivate and manage multi-Disciplinary teams in the delivery urban renewal and place making projects and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to draft complex implementation strategies including associated committee reports, service enhancements and consultation briefs, including funding grant submissions
