About the Business and Role
Our client is a major engineering consultancy, hiring a Planning Manager for one of their key projects. The role is based out of their Brisbane offices, and requires a willingness to frequently travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Develops summary and detailed schedules for a program or project.
- Develops baseline schedule and monitor/analyse current schedule against established baseline.
- Produce construction schedules.
- Maintain the integrity of integrated project schedules.
- Develop and update progress and curves.
- Lead schedule development and monitoring for assigned areas.
- Identifies activities or sequences of activities that are material and critical to the project and business unit and effectively communicates these to the appropriate members of the project team.
- Monitors critical path activities on a regular basis and provides update and analysis including possible mitigation efforts that must be undertaken to minimise impacts.
- Maintain the relationship with contracting and other project planning stakeholders.
- Maintains relationships with the cost engineering and estimating groups to ensure implications of changes are well articulated.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience.
- Demonstrated exposure to large project work.
- Proven experience in the usage of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- ECPM experience required.
- Must be willing to travel internationally.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills all levels.
- Comfortable working in an open and collaborative team environment
- Mining experience required.
