About the Role.
Calling all brand enthusiasts! Are you a passionate and outgoing individual with a love for beverages and a knack for engaging people? If so, we're looking for you to join our dynamic team as a Hype Human!
As a Hype Human, you will be the face of our beverage brands, representing them in the trade, with sales sampling, tastings and activations. You will be the resident party starter, the life of the liquid, the connoisseur of good vibes - a mix between sales & a brand ambassador as you help us work towards amplified distribution of our brands.
You will be working hand in hand with our dynamic sales team to capture valuable insights from consumer interactions, generate excitement and buzz around our products, converting casual tasters into raving fans. Working flexible set hours across Wednesday - Sunday, giving you the perfect balance of weekend warrior and weekday chill. The role involves a balance of salesmanship and product expertise to create a positive and memorable brand experience for consumers.
Responsibilities.
- Represent our beverage brands at events, tastings, and activations, transforming any gathering into a fiesta of flavour.
- Working with our CRM on a daily basis, helping drive contacts and customer detail to help enhance our reporting & conversion.
- Increasing sales at store level via merchandising displays and shelf management.
- Ensuring our products are displayed correctly whilst driving in-store compliance initiatives.
- Be an expert in all technical forms of our brands, know the answers to all the FAQ's & not afraid to be that Hype Human behind a stand repping our brands.
- Execute display strategies at a store level, in collaboration with Sales Team.
- Working collaboratively with team & brands to assemble promotional point of sale displays and planograms etc.
- Engage with consumers, building relationships that run deeper than just a friendly conversation, face to face.
- Collect data in store through your tasting sessions to report back on outcomes.
- Generate excitement and buzz around our products, turning casual tasters into raving fans when they walk in the door of a venue or outlet.
- Convert liquid on lip activities into liquid love affairs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities, ensuring our brands always reign supreme in the beverage kingdom within stores.
- Create and share engaging social media content, showcasing our brands in a way that makes everyone thirsty for more. Collect those selfies in trade & share with our brands & team.
Qualifications.
- Must be a passionate and outgoing individual with a love for beverages that's so intense, it could rival your love for karaoke and 90s dance music.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to charm even the most introverted soul into a conversation about the intricacies of flavour profiles.
- Experience in using a CRM or willingness to learn.
- Has excellent organisation & time management skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Has strong customer service & team focus, be solution focused and is able to think quickly.
- Proven ability to connect with people and build relationships, making you the master of social butterflies and the king of camaraderie.
- Experience in the beverage industry or a related field is a plus, but your passion and enthusiasm trump all.
- Strong social media presence, making you the envy of all influencers
- A genuine curiosity about industry trends and a commitment to continuous learning will further distinguish you as a well-rounded and insightful Hype Human.
- Willing to work 70% of weekends between Saturday or Sunday as a core function of this role.
- Own a reliable vehicle and hold a current driver’s license.
- Has previous sales/merchandising experience within a FMCG company (desirable)
- And to add in a splash of necessary, you must hold a current RSA Certificate.
