The role
The MHT Project Coordinator will work and Intake with all staff, client/consumers and stakeholders to coordinate Mental Health Tribunal (MHT) hearings. This includes intaking clients/consumers, ensuring all reports and documents for the MHT are obtained and recorded accurately, Lawyers are allocated, and client/consumers are well informed on representation along with participating in MHLC’s other projects. This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills and also requires an understanding of the framework within which all the projects are being measured and reported. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional organisational skills, energy, and vision. This position is funded by and subject to project funding.
A core part of the MHT Project Coordinator is to ensure all data is collected accurately and ensure internal and external stakeholders are kept informed on progress .
The incumbent will be innovative collaborative and will coordinate best practice in MHT Project Coordination and Intake.
About you
You are a Project Coordinator with a minimum of 18 months experience in Administration.
You have excellent organisational skills with an ability to keep track of multiple streams for different stakeholders.
You are able to:
- Deliver high quality, accurate administration and coordination to the organisation.
- Develop strong relationships with other supporting organisations/services.
- Intake MHT external calls in a timely efficient matter.
- Enter data in a clear, concise and time critical way.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Contribute to the operational objectives of the MHLC to ensure its sustainability.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team to contribute to the achievement of program deliverables and organisational objectives.•
- Exercise judgment and provide expert support to the MHLC team.

The Offer
- 1 FTE (76 hours per fortnight) ongoing position.

Key responsibilities
- Manage in collaboration with the Administration Coordinator MHT Coordination.
- Ensure accuracy and high standard of data collection and entry into Actionstep.
- Make referrals to other services when MHT representation cannot be provided.
- Exercise an elevated level of interpersonal skills in assisting consumers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Attending all staff meetings and other internal meetings as required
- Participate in annual planning and strategic development within the administration team.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for the administration team;
- Undertake other general duties as required including providing cover for other roles during busy periods.

- Seek out training opportunities to further enhance professional development for the administration team and self-development opportunities in consultation with your manager;
- Participate in regular supervision, meet agreed performance indicators, and work plan activities;
