About the PositionDo you have a strong communication skill set and a passion for designing high quality online learning experiences?We are seeking a Learning Design
and Quality Assurance Officer to join our Microcredential Unit. This role will involve collaborating with professional staff, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of eLearning and blended corporate education programs.You will be responsible for supporting course design, producing training materials and e-learning modules, conducting
Quality Assurance testing, and ensuring adherence to style guides, copyright requirements and university policies.Operating in a small, creative team, we prioritise collaboration and co-designing our programs, upholding best practices and delivering an optimal learning experience and transformative outcomes for our clients.
About the personReporting to the Director of the Microcredential Unit, this position will work closely with professional staff, Academics, the Marketing team, and other stakeholders. The Officer will work as part of a small team but manage their time and work independently.
The ideal candidate will have:- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience, including learning design, instructional design, education, graphic design or communications-related roles.
- Demonstrated capacity to advise and support academic staff and subject matter experts on the design of learner-centred, online learning experiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of software and technical skills used in producing online learning modules. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work flexibly and harmoniously with all levels of staff.
- Familiarity with some of the following: Blackboard, Articulate 360, particularly Rise 360
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, audition)
Salary detailsThe hourly rate for this casual role is $50.32 (includes 25% casual loading), plus 11% superannuation.
