Mill Operator

CSA Mine are looking for experienced Mill Operators to join the Ore Processing team. You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring safety related documentation is completed in a timely fashion (SLAMs, JSA, and Permits to Work, RA and Incident Reports)
• Performing operations checks on grinding, flotation, filtration and dewatering circuits, concentrate handing, water management and tailings facility within guidelines set by relevant technical professionals
• Adjusting the plant to reflect changing feed conditions
• Ensuring shift documentation is completed on time and accurate (Shift logs, shift reports, TSF Inspections, work requests) and all variations to the guidelines are reported
• Escalating plant issues to the Leading Hand and Supervisor

About you:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Previous experience in a relevant milling environment (ideally a copper processing plant – desirable)
• Loader, forklift, working at heights, and confined space (desirable)
• Demonstrated dedication to safe work practices

Conditions: 

This is a residential position and is offered on a 7D7O7N7O continuous shift roster. Relocation costs and 12 weeks of transit accommodation will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.

Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
