Mine Geologist Underground
Pantoro is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Geologist to join the expanding team at the Norseman Gold Project. You will be responsible for collection and collation of technical data including underground geological mapping, sampling, geotechnical mapping and monitoring, diamond core logging and contributing to evolving the geological and economic models. A key role will also be providing mentoring and training of graduate geologists and mine technicians and working with other key mining stakeholders.
8/6 FIFO Roster from Perth. Alternate point of hire (DIDO) may be considered.
Duties also include:
- Supervision of the Field Technicians and the mine geology operational processes.
- Compilation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Underground geological face/backs mapping and sampling
- Geotechnical mapping
- Design of development and drilling programs.
- Stope modelling
About You
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Applied Science (BAppSc) majoring in geology
- Experience in underground mine geology
- Proficient Surpac mining software or similar
- Manual Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance
Modern Camp
The project is serviced by a modern accommodation village situated within the Norseman township with full messing facilities and a new gym. Employees will also have access to the town facilities and services, providing the best of both worlds while on site.
About the Project
The Norseman Gold Project is an exciting project which includes a 1 million tonne per annum processing plant completed in September 2022 and development of multiple large open pits and underground mines. Mining activities have been established for well over a 12-month period providing on target tonnes to processing facility.
Existing mine life is approaching 10 years. Ongoing organic growth is expected with drill rigs focused on Ore Reserve growth currently operating.
