Randstad are seeking applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Mining Engineer for our clients open pit mining operation in Western Queensland.
Reporting directly to the Engineering and Projects Manager, the Mining Engineer will be responsible for designing and scheduling mining and processing activities for an open pit mine operation.
About The Role
- Design and implementation of ore blocks, stockpiles, water management and rehabilitation
- Creation, communication and delivery of short term mine plans
- Compliance monitoring of the mining and haulage contractors
- Business improvement projects focused on increased productivity and reduced cost
- Assist in the development of long term plans, budgets and forecasts
To be successful for this role, you will have:

- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm to join a small and cohesive team
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in open cut mining operations and planning
- Experience with mine planning software

This position is based on our clients mine site with camp accommodation provided. FIFO out of Adelaide, Brisbane or Townsville on an 8:6 roster.
