The Planning, Building and Laws department comprises of Development Planning, BPi and Municipal Laws and Public Assets. Each team within the department manages an area of approvals, registrations and statutory compliance. The Municipal Laws and Public Asset Protection services within Council's established parameters of legal obligation, budget requirement, policy and practice.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide timely and reliable customer service and manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the Municipal LawsBusiness Support Unit.

Skills, experience and certificates

  • Previous experience in a similar role or administrative field.
  • Experience in providing high level of customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare high quality correspondence.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills of a team player as well as being able to work independently
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Suite and demonstrated ability to learn new software systems promptly.
  • Self-motivated, customer focus and ability to solve problems
