National Account Manager

In 2019, Woolworths Group established Australian Grocery Wholesalers (AGW) to act as a standalone domestic wholesale business supporting primarily our partnerships with Wholesale customers such as Ampol and Foodbank. As the business evolved, the scope was expanded to include remote indigenous communities, further charity partners and in early 2021, Meat manufacturing customers. The business is now focused on further growth opportunities across differing market segments.

This role reports to the Head of Sales - Australian Grocery Wholesalers, which forms part of the B2B and everyday needs business unit. The National Account Manager will manage external accounts within AGW.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Establish an effective and efficient operating model for the supply of goods to Wholesale customers
  • Develop and Establish effective ways of working with Woolworths IT, Supply Chain and Replenishment teams.
  • Support the program of work to deliver key outcomes in line with our growth ambitions, customer contracts and commitments
  • Build productive and constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain strategic customer / partner relationships
  • Demonstrate change leadership
  • Involvement with negotiation with customers and supply partners
  • Achieve business performance targets
  • Ensure compliance with customer agreements
About you
  • Experience in category management and leadership roles in a Retail / FMCG environment
  • Demonstrated experience in Wholesale industry
  • Business development and account management experience
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with key customers and external partners
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong level of financial and commercial acumen
  • Using data to make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of retail trends and market activity
  • Proven understanding and awareness of category and product
  • Market awareness, general trade and consumer insights
