Location

This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises 295 guest rooms, suites and villas.

Department

We are currently seeking a Accounts Payable Officer who will report directly to our Director of Finance.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

• Collate suppliers documentation with the corresponding purchase order
• Ensure approved purchase document and a signed receiving document
• Review and edit department reports and check general ledger codes
• Ensure all credit notes are posted correctly and reconciled
• Balance receiving reports, reconcile invoices and supplier statements
• Input Information into the A/P system
• Process invoices on a timely basis
• Prepare cheque run for approval on a weekly basis
• Ensure batches are properly posted to the General Ledger.
• Perform the A/P month end close and Accruals Summary
• Ensure all payments are properly authorised

The successful applicant will have:

• 2 years experience in a similar role

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to create positive relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Experience working in the hospitality industry will be highly regarded

• Knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts.

• Experience with Opera will be highly regarded
