About the role :
We are looking for a customer focused and results driven National Account Manager to join our dynamic One Newell team, based in Scoresby. The role will be responsible for the development and implementation of core business strategies, to build Newell brands Writing, Food & Home product portfolios within all of our existing major accounts. Brands include Papermate, Parker, Sharpie, Expo, Dymo, Elmers, Sistema and Sunbeam.
What will you be responsible for :
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with all major accounts through the implementation of “Joint Business Plans” and category management
- Build and present “Annual Operating Plans” to all relevant internal stakeholders
- Supervise and monitor sales performance and national promotional activities
- Effectively prepare and control expenses inclusive of trade spend budgets for all allocated managed portfolios
- Work closely with the National Business Manager in the preparation and planning of all new product launches, promotional programming and budgeting
- Ongoing communication and collaboration with the National Business Manager on a regular basis to problem solve, discuss and execute opportunities and outline goals to progress towards company objectives.
- Review and update sales forecasts on a monthly basis to review promotional activity results
What you need to be successful :
- Bachelor Degree in the desired field of business management and/or commerce
- Minimum 3+ years experience in account management, preferably within large consumer goods company
- Demonstrate competencies in developing and executing business plans
- Strong time management and problem solving skills
- Be result driven and willing to work as a team as well independently
- Proven business acumen and ability to analyse data and budget management
- Be flexible, open to change and have the confidence to share ideas, wins and opportunities.
