The opportunity
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and maximise profitability for both national and wholesale segments.
- Collaborate with General Manager of Merchandising to develop sales strategies, including promotional programs and tactical planning
- Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) in executing the product mix and offerings to meet current and future needs of consumers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Franchisees and head office to ensure continuity and ongoing representation
- Understand category-specific landscapes and sales trends within the Foam category
- Report on variances impacting budgets and strategic direction of the account.
- Drive new product development and speed to market within established processes
- Collaborate with internal and external counterparts, including manufacturing, operations, customer service, marketing, and suppliers
- Prepare, manage, and execute quarterly meetings and conferences
- Conduct national forecasts weekly, reviewing invoiced sales and forward projections
- Manage daily work tasks and set performance objectives for the Category Coordinator
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in National Account management, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry. As well as:
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth through strategic account management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel as needed
