About the role
We are seeking a dedicatedNational Clinical Nurse Coordinator! You will ensure contribute to strategic direction of the National AOD Stream through a clinical lens and quality nursing care within TSA AOD Services.
Responsibilities include
- Clinical governance responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and 'dotted line' management of all nursing staff within TSA AOD Services (primary role management is via centre manager)
- Lead delivery of 'HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication' to all non-nursing staff who oversee the self-administration of medication within AOD Services. Ensure currency of training to all relevant staff
- Provide advice and support regarding the delivery of health-related programs within AOD Services
- Develop national level partnerships with medical suppliers, pharmacies and addiction medicine specialists
- Audit and maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory authorities
This is a permanent full-time position, based anywhere in Australia. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Above award Nurses Award Level 5.
What you will have
- More than 2 years of experience in an AOD role
- Prior management experience
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Post grad quals in MH, AOD, Management or related field (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Education (TAE) or willingness to obtain
- Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
- At least 5 years of experience in AOD or Mental Health and previously held management role/s
- Knowledge of AOD sector including role, policies, regulations and legislation
- Knowledge of the impacts of addiction upon individuals
- Knowledge of health, social and other issues experienced by injecting drug users
- Enhances decision making and enabling factors for injecting drug users
- Knowledge of children and families sector including current contexts and legislation
