Members are supported with education, mentoring, a national awards program, and a comprehensive high-class events calendar including state gala lunches and the annual convention. NIBA also provide a high level of advocacy and industry representation.
About the Role
The National Events Manager oversees the strategic planning, meticulous execution, and seamless delivery of all NIBA events, requiring a skilled professional with exceptional organisational acumen, acute attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for curating exceptional event experiences.
Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the National Events Manager ensures the flawless execution of events that captivate, engage, and align seamlessly with the association's strategic objectives.

You’ll live, breathe and love events! Your event portfolio will include innovative large-scale events that disrupt the norm. You’ll be an assertive but flexible leader, and have excellent project management capabilities with the vision and capability to morph vast ideas into next-level events.
Responsibilities
- Successfully deliver profitable and professional events
- Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, speaker sourcing, budget management, and onsite execution
- Collaborate with the Campaign Manager to incorporate campaign management strategies into event planning
- Build strong relationships with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to promote event participation
- Develop marketing strategies to maximise event attendance and engagement
- Develop and monitor event budgets, conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback, using insights to inform future planning and strategy
- Extensive experience in event planning and management
- Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of simultaneously managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems creatively, and innovate within the events space
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new event management software and tools
