Kid Connect is a small but growing registered NDIS Support Coordination agency. We work with the parents and carers of children and adolescents who are NDIS participants.
We are looking for a new team member - ideally an experienced Support Coordinator passionate about working with children and adolescents.
You will be part of a small team of Support Coordinators and have access to ongoing supervision and training.
Key features of the Support Coordination role include:
- Assisting parents & carers to identify and plan strategies to achieve their children's goals as specified in their NDIS plans;
- Supporting parents & carers to implement their child's NDIS plan to maximise value for money from their supports;
- Providing information to parents & carers and advocate when necessary to facilitate access to community services & facilities; and
- Building relationships with service providers.
The person we are looking for must have the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Tertiary qualifications in allied health or education;
- Knowledge and experience of the NDIS Support Coordination function and the importance of building capacity;
- Ability to research and identify appropriate service providers for participants;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Registration with the NDIS Disability Workers Registration Database (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Western Australian driver’s license.
- Full COVID vaccination (or medical exemption).
The role offers flexibility in work hours and the ability to work from home. Most of our team currently work school hours. However, we would need you to be able to work Monday to Friday.
