Energy Queensland have a permanent opportunity for multiple Network Operations Systems Support Specialists located in Brisbane (Newstead), Rockhampton or Townsville within our Operations team.
About your new role:
At Energy Queensland, we us GE’s PowerOn Advantage DMS (Distribution Management System), our Network Operations Systems Support Specialists provide user support and manage its functional configuration.
As the successful candidate your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Analyse configuration issues that impact safety and/or productivity of end users and recommend and implement improvements.
- Analyse data and process issues affecting the performance of the DMS. Recommending changes and develop standards data to bring about the necessary improvements.
- Develop tools and systems for reporting information.
- Contribute as DMS subject matter expert in multi-disciplinary project teams. Configuring the DMS to optimise productivity across all these user groups and teams.
- Provide specialist coaching, training, and training development activities.
· Associate Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
The remuneration for your new role is from $139,032 to $148,063 plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight or $157,106 to $167,311 plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

As a Network Operations Systems Support Specialist you will utilise your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues, optimise system performance, and drive innovation in the energy industry.
Your experience includes:
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Computer system platforms (PCs, Unix/Linux) and Operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux, POSIX/QNX).
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of database systems with detailed knowledge of SQL and the ability to produce reports.
- Working knowledge of real time computing systems supporting at least Development, Acceptance, Projects, and Production environments.
- Proven ability to interpret user requirements, interpret and apply technical standards and master new computer applications.
- Proven ability to produce test plans, conduct testing for complex computer systems, and produce simple, clear, and concise project documentation.
- Availability to participate in a standby roster.
