Role Description:
The Network Engineers x 2 will be responsible for providing network support for operational and project related activities
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and maintenance of the ACT Government data network to agreed service levels
- Assist with ensuring all externally provided data services and support resources are maintained to contracted levels.
- Assist with the development of new network connections to clients as requested through standard processes
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the network through the provision of quality support and break/fix services
- Assist in the development, delivery and support of project based ICT capabilities
- Relevant degree, diploma, certificate, vocational or industry certificate in the Data Telecommunications field and/or relevant work experience in a workstation client server WAN/LAN environment
- Technical skills and knowledge of developing WAN, LAN, and wireless technologies including experience in a multi vendor ICT environment
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining ICT services
- Well developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication and the ability to negotiate and build effective working relationships.
- Ability to consistently display commitment to high quality customer service principles and practices, and coach staff to effectively deliver to these
- Experience in the delivery of quality ICT services to a broad client base through a committed multi-function team.
- Sound organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, and determine and deliver on priorities.
