About the role
This position is responsible for the entire local engineering effort in building, supporting, and maintaining our technology and the local operational ecosystem necessary to support client operations. This position is responsible for:
- quality assurance and system performance.
- project planning and task tracking.
- coordination and planning system upgrades and scheduled outages, especially those with customer impacts.
Duties
- Builds and manages the virtualization overlay network used in the technology front end.
- Coordinates the ISP contract(s) and peering necessary for service delivery.
- Coordinate circuit delivery with datacentre engineer, and configure peering.
- Configure, load balance, and maintain the F5 instances for SSLO (TLS decryption and inspection).
- Performs manual intervention during planned and unplanned outages.
- Upgrading and maintaining networking hardware/software in Australia.
- Monitoring and responding to alerts.
- Plan, execute, and integrate customer connectivity.
- Demonstrated ability to work with the executive management of an organization and to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Understanding of SSL Decryption process, requirement and troubleshooting.
- Solid background in network administration, deployments and architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero Trust security model is a plus.
- Expert level knowledge and/or experience with BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, Micro-segmentation, Load balancing, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) network technologies, and Network automation.
- Detailed understanding of CLOS and overlay networking, including EVPN/VXLAN, EVPN/MPLS and SDN solutions such as VMware NSX-T.
