The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic highly skilled nurse leader to join the team as the Nurse Unit Manager of Ward 19. Ward 19 is a 32-bed acute surgical ward, specialising in Orthopaedics and Plastics. All aspiring senior nurses are welcome to apply to join the team at Northern Health.
This role requires someone who works collaboratively with our dedicated clinicians, Educators and Nurse Unit managers to oversee and lead the multidisciplinary team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- High-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff.
- Knowledge of financial and budgetary and human resources processes.
- Knowledge of current statutory requirements including relevant awards and workplace safety
- Postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level in leadership or relevant speciality
