About the Role
We are looking for a Ealy CareerOccupational Therapist to join our North Lakes team (full-time or part-time).
As a Graduate Occupational Therapist, you will be supported through our 12-month Graduate Program and beyond as you develop into a skilled practitioner. You will be provided with extensive learning and support to help you successfully transition from student to allied health professional. You will develop your knowledge and skills and gain competence and confidence as a therapist.
- Two weeks of graduate specific orientation including a comprehensive introduction to our practice procedures, the NDIS and occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Shadowing days.
- Weekly clinical supervision with a senior clinician. Increasing to fortnightly after 6 months.
- Monthly group supervision.
- Monthly internal professional development workshops.
- External professional development opportunities.
- Team Leader support.
- Gradual increase to your caseload.
This position is classified as Level 1 under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award $79,909 - $91,133 ($40.44 - $46.12 p/h) based upon skills and experience. We also offer salary packaging which can increase your take home pay, an uncapped bonus scheme and professional development allowance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and deliver intervention to children and young people aged 0 to 18 years.
- Attend and participate in client case discussions and team meetings.
- Document client records including case notes, service agreements and reports.
- Develop discipline specific content and participate in knowledge sharing activities with your colleagues, clients/their families and other stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualifications in Occupational Therapy and professional registration with AHPRA (essential).
- Interest in working with children and young people with complex needs including developmental delays, difficulties and disability.
- An ability to work both independently and part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Confident oral and written communication skills.

Other Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Eligibility as a Medicare provider.
- Current driver’s licence.
