About Us
AbleKids Therapy Service is a modern allied health practice situated in beautiful Geraldton. Geraldton is a vibrant community on WA's Coral Coast, where you can enjoy a laidback lifestyle, including our cafe's, galleries and street art, and also take in the beautiful surroundings, including our gorgeous coastline, wildflowers and trails. The dedicated interdisciplinary team at AbleKids currently provide speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychology services to a diverse case load. Our clients are primarily children with developmental delays and disabilities and this position offers the ability to tailor the caseload based on interest and expertise. We support NDIS participants to achieve their goals working collaboratively with the wider team using a family-centred, evidence and strengths-based approaches. We also support clients in more remote areas of the Midwest region through direct service provision and telehealth services.
About the position
We are looking for passionate Occupational Therapists to join our team, the roles will involve:
- Assessing, developing and implementing interventions and programs for children and young adults with developmental delays and disability
- Providing goal orientated plans with measurable outcomes
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on client progress
- Working in a culturally sensitive manner
- Servicing a varied, largely paediatric, caseload
- Teaching and supporting Allied Health Assistant
- Working in a range of settings, including clinic, homes, schools, telehealth and childcare centres
- Manageable caseloads and planning time/administration time and support included in position
- Regular professional support and mentoring provided
Successful applicant will have the following
- Full relevant education and registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Western Australian Working with Children Check and WA Department of Education provider screening/ NDIS provider screening.
- Be eligible for Medicare provider number
- C Class driving license
