ECP Engineering is a mechanical engineering workshop that has been in business for over 40 years. We're growing with the aim of becoming one of Australia's leading destinations for conventional and CNC machining.
Position Details:
Seeking a candidate who will work Monday to Thursday8.30am to 3.00pm.
As ECP Engineering is a small business, the role will require the candidate to be flexible in their duties and bounce between tasks as required.
Please note that this is not an entry-level role; candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable bookkeeping and/or administrative experience.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Office Manager;
- General office and administrative duties;
- Document management, handling of confidential information and inputting of job information into software;
- Ordering and management of materials and sub-contractors;
- Packing and shipping of orders;
- Deliveries and pick-ups in the company vehicle where required.
Bookkeeping;
- Assist with management of payroll and superannuation;
- Reconciliation and management of XERO;
- Processing of financial records in, XERO and preparing month and year end entries;
- End-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable functions;
- Preparation of BAS returns / Activity Statements

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Bookkeeper:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Full rights to work in Australia without restrictions
- Advanced experience with XERO, including payables, BAS, PAYG, and understanding of ATO obligations and bank reconciliation
- Advanced experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the manufacturing industry
- Understanding of material shapes, grades and sizes
