The Office Manager is a critical role in ensuring the effective operation of the Australian R&D Development Lab.
The Office Manager will ensure the Country Manager is fully aware of current and emerging issues related to the lab, will manage her daily schedule, travel arrangements, ensure she has been appropriately briefed where necessary and has all relevant information to ensure the efficient running of the lab. It is imperative the Office Manager has a good understanding of key operational issues and processes to ensure effective workflow management.
The role requires the ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives for the team which will require a high level of initiative, attention to detail, communication skills, as well as the coordination of events and other administration duties on a day-to-day basis.
Key areas of focus:
- Administration - Provide high-level administrative support to the leadership team. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. This role includes liaising with staff-based locally, interstate and overseas. You will be able to evaluate existing processes for effectiveness, take on board feedback from the team and based on your analysis propose improvements to key stakeholders. Manage day to day priorities, this includes effective diary management, minute-taking, coordination of travel and providing support as needed. All general ad hoc administration tasks, such as filing, scanning documents and invoices.
- Office Management - Responsible for managing the office, including corporate events. Managing supplier relationships and office facilities and overseeing suppliers and contractors who visit the office. Draft and prepare correspondence for internal announcements. Coordinating and assisting with special projects. Building strong relationships with internal and external parties.
- HR - Coordinating the On and off boarding of staff with HR. Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with business unit leaders and key stakeholders. Provide information on changes to relevant HR policies/guidelines and practices. Ad-hoc HR projects.
- Finance - Reviews and verify invoices, receipts for payments, and upload these to a shared folder in Box. Ensure proper governance and controls are maintained and that processes and procedures are adhered to. Assist with all general enquires.

• Proven experience as an Office Manager in a significant corporate organisation.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Professionalism and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and a high level of integrity and accountability.
This is an in-office position located in Perth CBD, close to public transportation.
