About the Role:
Our Technology Operations Service Delivery team is eager to welcome a Level 2Service Desk Officer to join our vibrant crew on a 5:2 roster based in Perth. As you report to the Supervisor Service Desk, your role will involve addressing, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving more complex end user help requests. Your expertise will play a crucial part in ensuring our IT infrastructure and related systems remain highly available, allowing business tasks to run smoothly.

Duties:
- Offering friendly and advanced IT support to end users, tackling more complicated challenges that involve a deeper comprehension of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Teaming up with Level 1 Service Desk Officers to pinpoint escalated issues and share your expertise to help them find solutions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network, server, and system-related problems with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of IT process, procedures, and best practices that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Service Desk.
- Mentoring and coaching Level 1 Service Desk Officers, helping them grow their technical skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.
- Collaborating with other IT teams and vendors to address issues that call for specialised expertise or resources.
- Getting involved in IT projects and initiatives, providing your technical know-how and support to guarantee successful implementation and seamless integration with existing systems.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to offer the most effective support and solutions to end users.
- Preparing and presenting engaging reports on Service Desk performance, trends, and areas for improvement to management and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar IT support position
- Tertiary qualifications and industry certifications such as VMWare, Citrix, MCSE not essential but would be desirable
- A sound knowledge of the Windows Operating environment/Windows server network environment and Microsoft Exchange Office 365 environment will set you up for success
- Hardware and Software Troubleshooting experience
- Strong customer service skills
