MN Spraybooths is Australia’s industry leading spray booth manufacturer supplying a broad range of high-performance spray paint booths and body shop systems. We are a thriving small business located in Pakenham, Victoria, and provide installation services to clients located throughout Australia.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and proactive OHS & Well-being Coordinator with manufacturing industry experience to provide operational solutions to our OHS and risk management needs across all areas of the business a few days per week.
You will have the opportunity to coordinate the OHS function across a leading manufacturing business and have influence on long-term procedures.
Some of the responsibilities associated with the role include:
- Working closely with our Manufacturing and Operations teams to identify risks and implement relevant OHS/WHS policies, procedures, and checklists as required.
- Create, implement and maintain OHS documentation, eg SOP’s, SWMS, etc, as required.
- Maintain our Safety Systems Software – Skytrust experience highly desirable.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections and audits.
- Coordinate OHS Committee Meetings and administration requirements associated.
- Work in accordance with MN Spraybooths Safety Manual, calendar, and process and procedures.
- Drive safety culture and adherence for best safe practices across our business.
- Conduct safety inductions and training as required.
- Provide support in the investigation of any hazards and incidents reported.
- Undertake Return to Work Coordinator duties where required (training provided if needed).
- Whilst primarily located at our premises in Pakenham, some client visits may be required to assess risk and ensure compliance.
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety with up-to-date knowledge of relevant OHS/WHS Acts and Legislation.
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Experience as an OHS Administrator in the manufacturing or similar industry highly desirable.
- Familiar with Safety System Software – working knowledge of SkyTrust highly desirable
- Well organised with high attention to detail.
- The ability to engage, influence and train staff.
- Excellent communication skills, including a pleasant open and approachable manner.
- Works effectively with all levels in the business, from warehouse staff to senior management, creating trusted relationships.
- Ability to work on creating and implementing processes and procedures, as well as provide strategic oversight where required.
- Strong competence in using Microsoft software.
- Assist in creating a safety-first culture that integrates with current practices.
- Current Driver License.
This is a part time position, expected 2 - 3 days per week, though some additional hours may be required on a monthly or quarterly basis when audits are being undertaken, and time will be paid accordingly.
The days worked are flexible with the right candidate (eg two/three full days or hours spread across the week) though certain days may be required from time to time to assist with inductions and training dependent upon business needs.
Whilst predominantly located at our premises in Pakenham, some travel may be required, either in Melbourne or interstate, on occasion to review OHS procedures for staff off-site.
