Position: Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) - Oncology

Location: Private Hospital in Melbourne, Central
Role Overview:
SustainHealth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our 7-chair Day Oncology Unit. This permanent full-time position involves managing a team of 12 staff, including Assistant Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), and Registered Nurses (RNs). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the unit, with a focus on clinical and primarily managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the 7-chair Day Oncology Unit
- Management of a diverse team of ANUMs, CNSs, and RNs
- Rostering and budget management
- Reporting to the General Manager and Director of Clinical Services (DCS)
- Collaboration with clinical and management teams
- Emergency and support clinical duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in oncology nursing
- AHPRA registration is essential
- Ideally possess a postgraduate qualification in oncology or relevant management certification
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
Remuneration:
- RN4B Pay Rate up to: $62.26 per hour + super
- Annual Salary up to: $123,025 + super
- Subject to clinical and management duties (primarily management, with clinical responsibilities limited to emergency/support situations)
Work Schedule:
- Mostly Monday to Friday
