Operations Support Officer required for a non-ongoing contract with a Federal Government Dept in Townsville

Your new company 

Join a Federal Government department located in Townsville. This is a full-time non-ongoing contract starting ASAP, for 3 months with possibility of extension. 

Your new role 

As the Operations Support Officer, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of high-quality housing services, including, provisioning, maintenance services, stock management, housing allocation and living-in accommodation booking services. You will support managers to ensure business continuity is maintained. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to provide administrative support within the Service Delivery team. 

What you'll need to succeed 

To succeed in this role, you will have well-developed communication skills, excellent organisation, judgement skills and attention to detail to deliver quality outputs within tight and often conflicting deadlines. You will be a part of a fast-paced, high-functioning business area and will provide support to existing staff members across multiple regions of Australia.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities
• Experience in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook, with an ability to adapt to new technology
• Demonstrated capability to manage sensitive and highly confidential information in accordance with standard operating procedures
• The ability to collaborate and positively engage with all internal and external stakeholders, building positive working relationships.

What you'll get in return 

In return, you will have an immediately available direct non-ongoing position for an initial period of 3 months within the public sector based in Townsville. This is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm. Paying an attractive hourly rate - you will work in a well-established, friendly and supportive team and your contribution will be valued in the ongoing success of this busy department.
