About the role
The Rail Operational Support Officer's primary objective is to capture information and assist with the planning of rail services and asset maintenance in a safe, environmentally sensitive and efficient manner with pin point data accuracy. This involves working closely with QLRS Management to provide day-to-day support with operational tasks.
The successful applicant will be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel to capture information and assist in the measurement of KPI's effectively.

- Providing timely operational information and support to the QLRS managers
- Assist with resource allocations and resource planning
- Provide administrative support to QLRS managers
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers
- Capture and monitor relevant maintenance information
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of asset maintenance
The Rail Operations Support Officer must have the skills to ensure that:
- The quality of service delivery is measured and managed in a culture of performance management and safety, health, risk, environment and quality controls
- Quality is managed through reference to standards, documented procedures and KPI's, while ensuring that safety is maintained by following risk management, incident reporting, and investigation procedures
- Developing Financial Management to deliver optimum financial results
- High level of Customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations
