Tasks & Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally all through the supply chain from manufacturers, to transport, to 3PL warehouses, service contractors and customers. Having the ability to maintain and retain relationships is fundamentally important to navigate the complexities of the different types of engagements the candidate will face.
- Having an eye for the finer details, being able to spot discrepancies and having the initiative to take corrective action.
- Manage the spare parts inventory levels, ensuring customers needs can be met without increasing stock holding to unmanageable levels.
- Seeking transport quotations for sales and projects to find the most competitive prices in the field.
- Identify service-related matters and engage with contracted service agents to ensure fast turnaround for the resolution so that customers expectations are exceeded.
- Be involved with compiling sales quotations and submitting to our National customers.
Skills and Experience
- Experience within operations, supply chain or after sales service-related field is necessary.
- A degree in operations, logistics, supply-chain, management, or similar field will be highly regarded.
- Experience in raising purchase orders and invoicing desirable.
- Experience with Excel, Outlook, Teams and an ERP system such as SAP or Netsuite.
- Have technological know-how – Training will be provided to the right candidate but there must be a minimum level of skill and capability.
- Advanced administrative and communication skills needed to navigate and communicate with a host of stakeholders.
- Candidate must be capable, thrive in a face-paced environment, and have initiative, being able to shift and change focus at a moment’s notice.
- The ability to prioritize and plan is fundamental to this role. Having an intellectual curiosity means knowing the right questions to ask the right people and you enjoy finding those answers.
- Be capable of working autonomously once a level of competency has been achieved.
