South East Sands (SES) is the producer of Wash and Screened Sand Products based in Lang Lang, Victoria, Having only commenced operations in 2022 we are fast becoming a high-performing Sand Quarry business supplying sand products to the building industry across Melbourne and Geelong. A dynamic organisation with a strong focus on customer service and prioritises a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
Starting ASAP, this is a terrific opportunity for an experienced Operations Assistant. As an Operations Assistant at South East Sands, you will be an integral part of our onsite management team and provide support to our Management Committee. You will assist with a varied range of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our information collection and reporting.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our leadership team, direct involvement and exposure to marketing initiatives and contribute to the company's success while gaining invaluable experience in a dynamic working environment.
THE ROLE:
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Central point of contact for onsite leadership team and working directly on jobs with the team,
- Assist with group projects as required.
- Active participation in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Weighbridge operation relief option on an ad-hoc basis as required.
- Participation in SES Safety Program including pre-starts, safety meetings, initiatives, and incident reporting.
YOU:
The candidate we are looking for:
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
- Have the ability to interact professionally at all times.

- Exceptional organisational skills.
- PC literate including advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Confident in multiple technology systems including SharePoint and video conferencing.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a safe and consistent standard with a strong focus on the business needs including Safety, Quality and Environment
- Ability to multi-task, manage and achieve multiple deadlines
- Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned.
- Must have high attention to detail.
- Ability to adopt a ‘hands on’ approach.
- Ability to manage areas of responsibility and take initiative.
- Current Drivers Licence is essential.
- Quarry experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Flexibility, in relation to working hours, as well as being able to change priorities and tasks as required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a busy and dynamic team.
- Be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical
- Be required to undergo Respirable Crystaline Silica Assessment before and during employment
- Participate in Drug and Alcohol Testing
