Operations Manager

Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Operations Manager with a specialized focus on enhancing warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of optimizing operational processes within a warehouse environment. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, team leads, and warehouse associates, to achieve operational goals and objectives. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team performance and morale.

Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance workflow efficiency, inventory management, order fulfillment, and overall operational performance.

Inventory Management: Implement best practices for inventory control, including accurate tracking, replenishment strategies, cycle counting, and minimizing stockouts to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements in all warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.

Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and space utilization, to optimize operational efficiency and minimize costs.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff and visitors.

Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. Regularly report on KPIs and operational metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse management or operations leadership role, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and productivity.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of lean principles, process improvement methodologies, and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
