Role Overview: The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of traffic control projects. This includes scheduling, booking, and ensuring the smooth execution of traffic management while serving as the first point of contact for clients and traffic controllers. The Operations Coordinator acts as a liaison between field staff, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to
Planning and Coordination
- Ensure effective allocation of all staff and resources.
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Respond to emergency call-outs for major clients.
- Address and resolve onsite issues.
Operations Management
- Manage resource allocation to meet project demands.
- Scheduling works into our system.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are available and in good working condition.
- Maintain a safe work environment, ensure compliance with WA’s WHS laws and company polices
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
- Facilitate clear communication between field staff, management, and other stakeholders.
Experience:
- Experience in operations coordination, preferably in the traffic management or construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in staff management/leadership
Skills:
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of traffic management principles and safety regulations.
Certifications:
- Construction Industry Induction Card (white/blue card)
- Traffic Control (TC) + Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) ticket highly regarded.
