About the role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our farming team in Mildura. It is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is ambitious and has a passion for the horticulture industry. Working on our Tumut Grove farm across both citrus and table grape varieties, this will be in a hands-on role working alongside our Farm Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and managing operational tasks including spraying and block maintenance.
- Collating farm plans and implement to meet operational requirements
- Maintaining farm records in accordance with our organisational, compliance and legal requirements, including, chemical and fertilizer usage, irrigation, plant and machinery maintenance records, WHS records.
- Overseeing and managing all equipment, machinery and vehicle maintenance to required standards.
- Overseeing and managing weed control and canopy management including canopy spraying, slashing, cane topping etc.
- Managing all tractor operations and tractor staff.
- Assisting with Capital Projects for farm improvement.
- Have experience in farming, table grapes, citrus or the fresh produce industry (highly desirable)
- Have experience in farming operations such as irrigation, spraying, machinery or similar
- Be based in Mildura, Victoria or willing to relocate
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be ambitious and self-motivated
- Have basic computer and excel skills
- Have great attention to detail
- Be able to work with others and manage a team
