With diverse operations in farming, horticulture and packaging, you can expect variety and interesting challenges across the operation’s function.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of farming, processing (packaging of fresh produce) and maintenance. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day activities across operations while aligning with the company's strategic objectives. Key tasks will include developing and implementing farming strategies and best practice to optimise crop yields, quality, and sustainability; developing, implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for farming equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure; overseeing processing facilities to ensure efficient production and quality control of fresh produce products; ensuring compliance with all health and safety and food hygiene protocols, and procedures; and leading, mentoring and developing a high performing team.
With a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, or related field, you have proven experience in agricultural management, maintenance supervision and processing operations. Your strong understanding of farming practices, agronomy, crop management techniques and agricultural machinery are coupled with excellent leadership with a track record of managing diverse teams and driving operational excellence. You are also proficient in data analysis, budget management and strategic planning, and have sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to agriculture and food processing as well as supply management, both sourcing internally and externally. A highly effective communicator, you are experienced with roster coordination and collaboration, are proficient in technology and have strong financial acumen.
